[starttext]Nasheed Ya Leil
JazakaAllah to UmHumaid
O Night, O sea of darkness,
How many centuries have you folded away?
How many nations, have you fare welled,
that remained stories or mere beliefs that stayed?
None of them have remained as witness.
But you have remained for thousands of years,
reciting the book of our existence.
In it (the book) a secret is deeply resided,
In it, inspirations and verses are repeated that are,
at times ignored, or with them one is guided.
O Night, who is he who bends your height,
However they want, you are?
O Night, who is he who follows you with morning,
In a truthful, clear set manner?
Your creator has made you a rest,
O silencer of all eyes.
O entertainer of those who raise their cries for guidance,
Oh how many verses were recited by those who fear their ends.
Heading to the Sustainer, who cares of all creatures.
Tears flowing down their faces, in deep reverence.
Night has inspired to me a thousand meanings I have been ignorant towards,
for its speech is a deep silence, and its silence is tranquility.
Oh how thoughts burst through the silence of the years,
And oh how creativeness blew through a heart filled with misery.
O Night, O securer of secrets, O wave of unconfidence,
So many eyes feared the rays of silent darkness,
Mistaking it for ghosts, and began to pray for Him to save them.
Little did they know that dawn would soon force Night to leave,
In front of the eyes of all the observers [endtext]
